Wear your Christmas jumper to work day

With just over three weeks until 25 December, it’s time to look out your festive finest for ELCAP’s Wear your Christmas jumper to work day.

This year’s event will be held on Thursday 16 December 2021.  The purpose of the day is to have seasonal fun at work while raising much-needed funds for two local good causes, Bright Sparks and Can Do.

Looking ahead to the day, ELCAP Chief Executive, Paul White, said:

“It goes without saying that the last two years have been challenging for the individuals we support, our staff and our community.  If we have an opportunity to raise everyone’s spirits, we should take it, and that’s why we hope lots of people will get involved in Wear your Christmas jumper to work day.

In return for a donation to our charities of choice, everyone associated with ELCAP is invited to wear something Christmassy on 16 December.  Every penny raised will benefit Bright Sparks and Can Do, two local organisations which provide play opportunities for children and young people with disabilities.”

Participants in the event are invited to visit ELCAP’s offices at Woodbine Cottage in their best Christmas gear.  In return for a donation, they’ll receive a mince pie and have the opportunity to get their photo taken for ELCAP’s Facebook page.

Anyone unable to come in to Woodbine Cottage can take part by sending a festive photo to enquiries@elcap.org and by handing in their donation at an early opportunity.

To keep the event COVID-19 safe, everyone who plans to visit ELCAP is asked to book a time by emailing enquiries@elcap.org and take a Lateral Flow Test on the day.
