Platinum people award for ELCAP

Following an external assessment, ELCAP has again met the Investors in People Standard at the Platinum level.

Investors in People (IIP) is the leading standard for people management.  It defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people well for sustainable results.

Reflecting on ELCAP’s success, Chief Executive Paul White said:

“There are four levels of IIP award, with Platinum the highest.  Very few organisations reach the Platinum level, which means that everyone involved with ELCAP should be proud of our achievement.”

Organisations are assessed independently against nine indicators, including leading and inspiring people, empowering and involving people and delivering continuous improvement.

ELCAP’s assessment report included the following feedback:

“In your own words, ‘ELCAP’s vision is that we all live in a society where there are no barriers that prevent people from living the lives they want to live and reaching their full potential.’ This sentiment is not only shared by everyone within ELCAP but is done so with a sense of pride and a deep level of understanding that any small act of kindness, innovation, support has a profound and life changing effect on those you support.  Your Service Users are the drive and innovation that fuels the passion within your people.”

Welcoming this feedback, White said:

“We’re always pleased when people speak well of our charity, particularly when they’ve carried out a rigorous examination of how we work.  But we won’t rest on our laurels – we’re already developing an improvement plan to address areas where we can do things differently or better.”
