On the road to recruitment

ELCAP is taking to the road to recruit Support Practitioners, by taking part in some key local events over the summer.

ELCAP colleagues were out in force at Tranent Children’s Gala Day on Sunday 5 June 2022, attracting a good level of interest from the community.

Janette Statham, Operational Lead for Tranent, said:

“We were approached by a number of people who were looking for a change of career or were interested in joining us from other social care providers.  We look forward to them joining our charity and enjoying long and successful careers with us.”

Next up for ELCAP is Ormiston Gala on Saturday 25 June, followed by Haddington Show on Saturday 2 July.

ELCAP Chief Executive, Paul White, said:

“Our community is really important to us.  As well as supporting over 200 individuals in towns and villages across East Lothian and Midlothian, we provide around 300 jobs for local people.

Gala days play an important role in bringing people together and building healthier and happier communities.  By taking part in them, we can spread the word about ELCAP’s life-changing work and encourage more people to join our brilliant team.”
