New recruitment video – join our online premiere
Everyone with an interest in ELCAP is invited to attend an online premiere of a new recruitment video.
Two graduates from Queen Margaret University (QMU) – Jourie Fraser-Harris and Alexandra Gilbert – were commissioned to complete a promotional film designed to encourage more people to consider a career with ELCAP. Socially distanced filming took place in North Berwick and at Woodbine Cottage towards the end of December.

ELCAP Chief Executive Paul White said:
“Our mission is to become the recognised gold standard in social care and we can only achieve this with the support of our dedicated staff. We already have a committed and experienced workforce, but we want to strengthen our team by recruiting additional colleagues who share our motivation and values.
Rather than rely on our traditional approaches to recruitment, we thought a video would let candidates know what it’s really like to work for us.
We contacted John Dean, Acting Head of Media, Communication and Performing Arts at QMU, to ask if he could help. Shortly afterwards, we heard from Walid Salhab, who is a Media Practice Lecturer and an award-winning filmmaker.
Walid recommended Alexandra and Jourie to us. We are delighted with the work they have done and with the support we’ve had from our local university.”
The video, which features Support Practitioners sharing their experience of working for ELCAP, will be launched in the coming weeks. The online premiere will feature interviews with our film makers and some of the colleagues who appear in the film.
If you would like to attend our online premiere, please contact enquiries@elcap.org.
