Join ELCAP at online Annual General Meeting

Everyone with an interest in ELCAP’s work is invited to attend the charity’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held on Friday 29 October 2021 at 2.00pm.

For the second year in succession, the AGM will be held online.

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Board, ELCAP Chair, Bette Francis, said:

“While it would have been lovely to meet everyone in person, we are very conscious of the risk which COVID-19 continues to present.  For that reason, we opted to keep safe the individuals we support, our staff and our community by meeting online.

Although many of us will miss the opportunity to make new friends and catch up with some long-standing supporters of ELCAP’s work, we’re taking a glass half full approach to this important date on our calendar.  We hope that by meeting online, people who may have been unable to attend a face-to-face meeting – for example, because of concerns about their health or time constraints – will be able to join us.”

The AGM will provide an overview of how ELCAP performed in the 2020/21 financial year and outline the charity’s plans for the future.  In addition, the event will include a presentation on Our Voice, Our Choice, ELCAP’s innovative partnership with Speech and Language Therapists from NHS Lothian.
