Enjoy your retirement, Jackie
Enjoy your retirement, Jackie
Everyone at ELCAP sends their very best wishes to Jackie Stewart, who retired on 2 October 2022. Jackie joined ELCAP in 2008 before “retiring” in 2021 and returning to our charity on a casual basis a short time later.
Jackie dropped into Woodbine Cottage for an informal send-off the week before he finally moved on from ELCAP.
Reflecting on Jackie’s retirement, ELCAP Chief Executive Paul White said:
“Jackie committed close to 14 years of his career to making a difference to the lives of the individuals we support. He is a valued and well-respected colleague who always went the extra mile for the people he worked with.
ELCAP staff join us from a range of backgrounds. Prior to joining our team, Jackie worked in Brunton Wiremill, Monktonhall Colliery and later, in security. But he took to social care like a duck to water and showed what can be achieved with the right values and a spring in the step.
It was great to catch up with Jackie and hear his retirement plans. As well as walking his and his daughter’s dogs, he’s looking forward to spending more time in the garden and having more time to himself. We hope that Jackie enjoys the fresh air and exercise and has a long and happy retirement.”
