ELCAP thanks staff for efforts during pandemic

ELCAP is saying thanks to colleagues across the charity for their efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

A one-off bonus of up to £250.00 will be paid to staff, in recognition of the exceptional circumstances in which they have worked since the pandemic began.

Bette Francis, Chair of ELCAP’s Executive Board, said:

“Colleagues across the organisation have risen to the challenges which COVID-19 presents.  They have maintained services for the individuals we support, sometimes against the odds, and have often gone the extra mile.

ELCAP colleagues are driven by a passion for enabling the individuals we support to live to their full potential and be active and valued members of our community.  The difference we make is driven by our values and our commitment to change lives for the better, rather than bonuses.  But it’s nice to be able to be able to say a small thank you to staff for the significant efforts they have made since March 2020.”

Staff on full-time contracts will receive a bonus of £250.00.  Staff on part-time contracts will receive their bonus on a pro rata basis.  All bonuses will be subject to the deduction of tax and national insurance contributions.

In 2021, ELCAP launched a new Workforce Development Plan, which included a commitment to improved recognition for staff, based on achievements and good practice.

In 2020, ELCAP achieved Platinum status against the Investors in People (IIP) standard.  This is the highest level of IIP accreditation.
