ELCAP looks forward to Scottish Learning Disability week

Scottish Learning Disability Week 2022 will run from Monday 2 till Sunday 8 May – and ELCAP is looking forward to getting involved.

Every year has a different theme that is important to the lives of people with a learning disability.  The theme for 2022 is “We all have human rights.”

ELCAP Chief Executive Paul White said:

“During Scottish Learning Disability Week, we want to help people with learning disabilities to recognise and realise their human rights.

On Wednesday 4 May we’ll be hosting a get together at Woodbine Cottage where we’ll raise awareness of human rights, not just with the individuals we support, but also with our wider community.  While our event has a serious message, it will feature lots of fun, with food, good company and music on offer

We’ll also be sharing information on human rights with everyone we support and using our Facebook page to spread the word more widely.”

The event at Woodbine Cottage will run between 1100 and 1300.  To book your place, simply send an email to enquiries@elcap.org.
