ELCAP achieves over 90% satisfaction in annual staff survey
ELCAP colleagues have given the organisation a 90% plus satisfaction rating in the charity’s annual staff survey.
Over 300 members of staff were invited to complete an anonymous online survey, sharing their views on 17 statements. The statements ranged from “I share the same values as ELCAP” to “I will be working with ELCAP in three years’ time.”
Staff gave ELCAP an overall satisfaction rating of 92.5%, which is a slight improvement on the 91.4% rating in 2020
The statement with the highest level of satisfaction was “The work I do supports ELCAP’s plans for the future”, which achieved 100%.
The statement with the lowest level of satisfaction was “I am paid a fair rate for the job”, which achieved 65%.
Satisfaction levels increased across eight statements and decreased across five. Satisfaction levels for three statements stayed the same, while the statement “I feel confident working in a self-organised team” was new.
Sixty-one per cent of staff completed the survey.
Reflecting on the survey results, ELCAP Chief Executive, Paul White, said:
“Developing our workforce is one of our strategic priorities. We want to ensure that ELCAP is a great place to work by providing jobs that are fulfilling and have a social purpose and by developing the confidence, knowledge and skills of our staff.
We’re delighted to get such positive feedback from our dedicated colleagues, particularly in a challenging year when the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted on all of our lives.
While the results are very encouraging, we cannot be complacent. Work has already started on an improvement plan to address our weaker areas of performance.”
In autumn 2020, ELCAP achieved Platinum status against the Investors in People (IIP) standard, the highest level an organisation can achieve.
