ELCAP has welcomed a new Scottish Government investment in social care.
The NHS and Care Package of additional funding will see up to £48 million made available to increase the hourly rate of social care staff to match new NHS band 2 staff. Intelligence from ELCAP’s partners at the Coalition of Care and Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) suggests that the funds will increase minimum pay for adult social care workers to £10.02 per hour.
Lara Ritchie joined ELCAP as our new Business Manager towards the end of last month.
We caught up with Lara to learn about her experience to date and her plans for the future. We also got to hear about her affection for a 1980s action movie and an unusual encounter with a family pet.
Lara returns to ELCAP after developing her career in a range of settings over the last decade. Welcome back!
ELCAP’s commitment to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals is set out in a new report which describes the charity’s progress in the 2020/21 financial year.
An independent evaluation has confirmed that ELCAP is on track with its innovative communication project, Our Voice, Our Choice.
