Service Users, families and friends of ELCAP gathered at the UCI Cinema complex at Kinnaird Park on Friday, 17 September 2004 for the Premiere of a specially commissioned film

‘ELCAP - A Voyage of Discovery’.

In the film people who use ELCAP’s services, and staff, tell of their experiences and the changes over the last 15 years.

Liz Foy, ELCAP Chair, said it had taken vision and belief to start out on the voyage of discovery 15 years ago. The Directors and staff of ELCAP had had that vision and, with the support of families and users, had achieved so much.

ELCAP Director, Linda Headland said

"It is good to remind ourselves of how far we have come together on this journey, because it gives us encouragement to carry on and tackle all the things we still need to do. Our job is not to provide services and expect people to fit in. Our job is to try to understand what kind of lives people want to live and support them to do just that."
