| A successful ELCAP Fun Day
took place at Port Seton Community Centre on Saturday afternoon of 28 August when about
150 people came along to
...just have fun!
There were 25 activities for people to take
part in, from the hyperactive bouncy castle to serene storytelling in the library as well
as drama, football and health fair in between. And for the hungry there was a choice of
smoothies at the health fair stall or temptations at the Centre café, Di
Rollos ice-cream or the burger van and a exercise machine to work it off afterwards!
With all the raffles too and lots of people willing to empty their wallets and purses, the
income from the afternoon reached a commendable £334.02 |

|
|
This was achieved through the time and
energy given by people whom ELCAP supports who were involved on the fun day planning team
and on the day, from relatives, Board members, community service volunteers, staff and
local people in Port Seton.
The venue and help from the Centre staff
was excellent. The weather stayed fair all afternoon and every child in the football
competition was rewarded with a certificate and an ice-cream. |
